WHY IT MATTERS
CTC (Cost to Company) is the total expense your employer incurs for you in a year. It includes your cash salary as well as employer contributions you never see in hand, such as employer PF and gratuity. In-hand salary is the part of that cash salary that actually reaches your bank account after deductions.
Because CTC can include non-cash components, dividing your annual CTC by 12 does not give your monthly in-hand. This calculator separates employer contributions from cash and then applies the real deductions to show your take-home.
THE FLOW
KEY COMPONENTS
Employee PF is typically 12% of your basic salary, deducted at source and invested in your provident fund. Income tax depends on whether you choose the new or old regime for FY 2026-27. Professional tax varies by state — for example Karnataka levies about ₹2,400 a year while Delhi does not charge it.
The calculator applies the FY 2026-27 slabs, standard deduction, Section 87A rebate and cess, and always shows the assumptions behind your estimate.
FY 2026–27
This calculator uses the FY 2026-27 rules: the new-regime standard deduction of ₹75,000, the ₹4L tax-free threshold under the new regime, and a ₹15,000/month PF wage ceiling. Figures are estimates and may differ from your actual payslip depending on your employer’s structure.
Enter your own CTC to see your estimated monthly take-home based on your tax regime, location and salary structure.

Yes, in this calculator employer PF and gratuity are treated as part of CTC but are not paid to you as monthly cash — they are employer contributions.
